So, we made it through NFL Week 3.

How much further we’ll make it? Who knows. The COVID testing out of the Titans-Vikings game resulted in multiple players and personnel positives.

So let me hurry up and overreact before they cancel the season.

Doug Pederson

Unlike ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky, I do not believe that a tie is the same as a loss, but damn this game for the Philadelphia Eagles sure felt like it.

I want a coach that would make me want to run through a wall for a win, not a tie. Ties happen, I understand that, but they don’t usually happen by conceding it.

If Doug Pederson didn’t have a Super Bowl victory in his pocket, he would surely be in the Circle of Hell: Level 8 right now instead of in the Instant Pot.

NFC East

How else could you describe the division except dumpster fire?

Through three weeks the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Football Team, New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles have combined for a, sparkling, 2-9-1 record.

They’ll get a playoff team. One of these dreck’s will win the division and play into the postseason, but they don’t deserve to. They’ll be lucky to finish with a winning record.

Aaron Rodgers

Maybe it was his split with Danica Patrick, or maybe it was his great relationship with his State Farm agent, but Aaron Rodgers is on a mission.

Matched up against the great (but ever arm strength weakening) Drew Brees on Sunday afternoon and it was clear who the better man was.

For all the talk about the Packers drafting Jordan Love and the lack of any real depth at wide receiver, Rodgers has sure shown out by completing 67% of his passes with 9 touchdowns, 0 interceptions, and a sparkling 90.3 QBR (second only to, the ungodly, Patrick Mahomes).

Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes NFL Week 3

Speaking of the $500 million man – he’s the best quarterback in the NFL and it’s not close.

Some bring up Lamar Jackson, and yes he was last years NFL MVP, but he’s not in Mahomes’ league. They are operating on a different level.

Just give him the MVP now.

Buffalo Bills

After running up an insurmountable 28-3 lead over the Los Angeles Rams (yes, I know, Atlanta had that same lead in the Super Bowl, I repeatedly heard during the game broadcast), the Buffalo Bills actively tried to take years off their fans’ lives.

Not only did they blow a 28-3 lead, like the Falcons in Super Bowl LI, but they gave it up even quicker.

The fact that they didn’t wither after the Rams took a 32-28 lead with 4:30 left in the game says something about the Buffalo players’ mental toughness. It’s something you cannot necessarily track through stats, but you can see it when you watch a team play and how they react in situations.

These Bills should be able to win the AFC East. They’re deeper than the Patriots, the Dolphins are just biding their time to unleash Tua Tagovailoa, and the Jets? Start the clock for the NFL Draft.
