Alright, y’all know the drill by now. We’re on to Week 5 shortly, but let’s take care of some praise and shame first. This is Week 4’s Thr33 & Thr33, brought to you by Yours Truly. Winner? Loser? Let’s do ittttt!

Winners

Mitch Trubisky (QB) – Chicago Bears

This will be one that Mitch remembers for quite some time. Not to take anything from him, but he DID play the Tampa Bay Swiss Cheese defense. NONETHELESS! The kid passed for five (5!!) TDs in the first half alone. Trubisky finished the game with six TD passes in total, while going 19 for 26 through the air with 354 yards. He was only sacked once and didn’t throw an interception. Trubisky (8 TDs) now sits ahead of division rival Aaron Rodgers (7 TDs) for pass scores this season. Most importantly, though, he has his 3-1 Bears sitting in first place in the NFC North. The kid was a real winner this weekend.

Adam Vinatieri (K) – Indianapolis Colts

A kicker in the winner’s list! The way this season had been going, I thought we would never get the pleasure of praising a kicker. But, here we are! And for good reason. A rather routine game as far as Vinatieri’s production goes. He went 2 for 2 on FGs, as well as 2 for 2 on XPs. Nothing too astounding there. HOWEVER! With just two seconds remaining in the first half, Vinatieri booted a 42yd FG through the uprights for his 566th career make. He now stands alone atop that list, breaking a tie with Morten Andersen. You know I’m big on breaking records, because breaking records makes you a winner. Congrats, @adamvinatieri!

Khalil Mack (LB) – Chicago Bears

Back-to-back winner! Chicago is flooding the winner circle this week, but it’s well deserved. Mack is literally on this list for the same reason he was on it last week. He finished with 3 tackles, one sack, and ANOTHER FORCED FUMBLE. That’s four weeks, four games, four forced fumbles. The entirety of northern Illinois can thank John Gruden any time soon. Khalil Mack continues, week in and week out, to prove that he is unblock-able. Just so you are aware, the record for forced fumbles in a season is 10. Mack is on pace for 16. Let’s just keep an eye on that, shall we? For now, he’s a bad man, and a back-to-back winner.

Honorable Mention: Tennessee Titans

Losers

Buffalo Bills

The #BillsMafia had their hopes as high as the clouds after Week 3. It’s a shame they had to be crushed so soon. Not surprising, but definitely a shame. After allowing just 14 yards rushing to the Minnesota Vikings last week, they gave up 141 on the ground this week. Aaron Rodgers added 298 more through the air, and 22 points later, the Bills still had a goose egg. Yup, that’s right. The Bills got shut out by the Packers this weekend. Going 3 for 16 on 3rd downs will never be a positive. On the bright side, they can’t score less points next week. Until then, though, this is as loser as it gets.

Earl Thomas (S) – Seattle Seahawks

I’m all about players holding out when they believe they deserve it, so I’m genuinely curious how many people were rubbed the wrong by the Seattle franchise when Thomas went down. Thomas fractured his leg in Sunday’s game, proving first-hand why he wanted to get paid. As he was being carted off, Thomas flipped off his own sideline, a gesture not particularly aimed at the players standing on it. They knew that. It was to the organization that didn’t want to pay him what he is worth. The same franchise he broke his leg for. I’m almost pissed FOR him, but then I remember I have no dog in this fight. Still, I feel for the guy. The whole thing is a lose-lose.

Ryan Tannehill (QB) – Miami Dolphins

Can you say, “EXPOSED”?! The Dolphins started the season 3-0. Their first three opponents were Tennessee (Vrabel’s debut at HC), the Jets (1 win), and the Raiders (1 win). I understand a win is a win is a win, but these weren’t contenders. Let’s be honest. Tom Brady and the Patriots came in and embarrassed the Phins. Ryan Tannehill played awful, throwing 11 for 20, just 100 yards, and an interception. He was also sacked twice. All this was enough. Tannehill was replaced by Brock Osweiler (HAHA) to finish the game. Osweiler went 4 for 5 with a TD to finish a 38-7 loss. Tannehill, the 3-0 QB this season, got pulled and shown up. Rough. Loserrrrrr.

Honorable Mention: Ben Roethlisberger

Thanks for following along, ladies and gents. This week, we had another back-to-back winner. Courtesy of playing on MNF, Mahomes was unable to go back-to-back-to-back. ‘Tis the ruthlessness of the Thr33 & Thr33. Also, props to Arizona for avoiding another loser list visit, although still chasing W number 1. Come back next week, same time and place. Now let’s get ready for some #MNF!
