In the WWE, just like in any other sport or job, sometimes things go right and sometimes they don’t. For Co-lead Writer for the Smackdown Live creative team Road Dogg, it was a case of things not going right. It had been reported that he had reached his “breaking point” with the company. This was directly due to the script changes made by none other than Vince McMahon himself. The 49 year old Road Dogg couldn’t take it anymore and informed WWE of his resignation from his position immediately.
Road Dogg begun working as a producer in WWE back in 2011 before he became apart of the creative team. He had been the co-lead writer for Smackdown since he got the job three years ago.
Road Dogg’s Career
Road Dogg, also known Brian “Road Dogg” James, was an in ring competitor with the WWE for a long while. He began his in ring career in 1994 as the Roadie before forming a tag team with Billy Gunn called The New Age Outlaws. The two would join D-Generation X, or DX for short, and would become one of the most successful and accomplished tag teams in WWE history. Road Dogg also is a former intercontinental Champion and former Hardcore Champion in the WWE.
Why did this happen?
One can always ask themselves or wonder what happened or what went wrong. Unfortunately for Road Dogg, he just couldn’t take it anymore and said enough is enough. However, WWE has not commented further on his status within the company or said whether or not he will stay just in a different role. What do you think will happen with the WWE Hall of Famer? Will he stay with the company? Or will he decide to leave and find work elsewhere? Comment your thoughts below.
