Have you ever thought how much does a football head coach get paid? Coach Dabo Swinney of the Clemson Tigers is now the richest college football head coach in history.
What’s the new contract?
Multiple reports show a 93 million deal for ten years, has been signed for Dabo Swinney to remain as head coach of the Tigers.
The Clemson Board of Trustees met to approve the deal, after the Tigers won their 2nd National title in 3 years.
Swinney is now the highest-paid coach in college football.
Alabama head coach Nick Saban is in 2nd place with 8.7 million per year. The other coaches are below to round up the the top 5.
Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh (7.5 million)
Texas A&M’s Jimbo Fisher(7.5 million)
Auburn’s Gus Malzahn(6.8 million)

I don’t think the board can really capture the gratitude for Coach Swinney, and the way he has ran his program.

Swinney and the Clemson Tigers have won their second time in 3 years, by dominating Alabama. The Tigers are favorites to win back to back titles coming up this season.

What’s in store for Dabo Swinney and his Tigers this year? As college football season gets closer, we will see where the Tigers end up at the end of the season, and to be honest we can maybe see a back to back title.

For the next ten years, I believe we will see more wins at the National Championship for the Clemson Tigers and their head coach Dabo Swinney.
