We are on the verge of a new NBA season and some New Warriors have arrived in the Golden State. NBA free agency 2019 has caused many of the leagues most talented players to say goodbye to their former squads. They now look forward to taking their talents to new destinations. This has changed the league’s landscape and the Warriors are no exception to the rule. With the recent departures of household names such as Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala, and Quinn Cook, the Warriors were forced to reload their arsenal. Here are a few of the new faces which will be gracing the court of the new Chase Center for the upcoming 2019/2020 season.
Big Willie Style
Willie Cauley Stein is no stranger to the Golden State. The first four years of his pro career were spent with The Sacramento Kings. He looks forward to joining their rival the Golden State Warriors and becoming their premier big man. The subtraction of DeMarcus Cousins and Damian Jones puts him in prime position to do so. With the addition of D’Angelo Russell to the Warriors, his presence could prove to be huge. Russell thrives in the pick and roll, so does Willie.
Son of The Big Dog
Besides sharing the same name Glenn Robinson III might not share much in common with his father on the court after all. Glenn Jr was a 6-foot-7 and 240-pound brute of a power forward. GR3, on the other hand, is a 6-foot-6 and 222-pound high flyer who captured the attention of many including NBA legends by winning the 2017 slam dunk contest. Although Robinson has not produced many eye-popping stats over the course of his five-year career he looks to add depth in both the backcourt and on the perimeter for the Warriors. The real question here is will his bark prove to be as lethal as the Big Dog’s bite?
Wildcat Formation
After some promising showings recently in the summer league, the Warriors have chosen to move on from Damian Jones. Jones started 22 of the Warriors first 24 games last season. After averaging 5.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1 block Jones fell once again to injury. He suffered a torn pectoral muscle keeping him out of action until the Western Conference Finals. Enter Omari Spellman… This 6-foot-9 21-year-old forward/center will enter the rotation as one of the Warriors big men tasked to fill the void left by the departing Andrew Bogut, DeMarcus Cousins, and Jordan Bell.
Conditioning has often been a concern for Spellman but, perhaps his biggest moral support will come in the form of his former Villanova teammate Summer League standout Eric Paschall. This move was not only made by the Warriors to improve in a position of need but, also to save some money. That amount would be 400,000 to be exact!

The dubs had to have a youth movement at some point! I like the moves!
Yeah Drew…It hurts to see that staples of the team like Iggy and Livingston move on but, this serves as a harsh reminder that the NBA is a business!
