Who the hell knows!
One second his preference is the Knicks, Clippers, Nets, and now supposedly the Heat are in the lead. It’s already crazy enough that Butler wants to leave this talented Timberwolves team, but it appears KAT and Wiggins are not what he is looking for. I have narrowed it down to 4 possible scenarios that seem like they could actually happen. This is all a real head scratcher.
Option #1: Los Angeles Clippers
Jerry West didn’t just switch over to the Clippers for them to continue to stink. Getting rid of Griffin and CP3 makes you think there might be a plan up his sleeve. That all starts with going and getting Jimmy Butler. Butler has made it clear that he would enjoy playing in LA and let me tell you why.
If Butler goes to the Clippers, there are pieces that could follow. Isn’t there another big name player that is a free agent next year??? Oh that rights, Kawhi Leonard. Everyone instantly assumes Lakers when talking about LA, but don’t forget about Jerry West and the Clippers. It’s already strange to mention West with the Clippers considering his Hall of Fame career with the Lakers, but he is a smart man and will do what it takes to get what he wants. Also, don’t forget about Jimmy Butler’s best bud, Kyrie Irving.

Option #2: New York Knicks
Kyrie Irving brings me to my next team that could potentially land Mr. Butler. There has been many videos all over social media that display Kyrie and Jimmy’s friendship. All of those songs and plane rides together might just land them both in New York. James Dolan might be one of the worst owners in the NBA, but he and that team do have a lot of money to spend. It also would be hard to not be able to convince Butler and Irving to come there. All he has to say is picture this big three: Porzingis, Butler, Irving. Have fun saying no to that.

Option #3: Miami Heat
My last name is Reilly and I find myself to be fairly intelligent. There is a reason why Pat Riley spells his last name slightly different, the man is practically a genius! One would argue he can’t be that smart if he didn’t get LeBron to stay, but he did create a powerful Big 3 that did win him a couple NBA Finals if I remember correctly. Latest news has come out saying that the Heat are in the lead for Butler and its because if I had to guess Pat Riley is saying everything Butler and the Timberwolves wants to hear. Whatever Riley has in store seems to have Butler closer to joining D-Wade and his beautiful wife that Butler adores so much.

Option #4: Brooklyn Nets
The Nets can pay Jimmy Butler a lot of money. That is all I have for why he would want to go to Brooklyn. Honestly there is no reason why he would want to go there other than that he put the Nets in his original top 3 preferences.

There are still some teams making noise with the Jimmy Butler talk. Those teams being the Houston Rockets, and the Cleveland Cavaliers, but other than interest I don’t know if I see it happening. Then again like I said in the beginning…
