I, personally like making my own rankings than at the end comparing them to the ADP (Average Draft Position). This helps me gauge how close I am from what everyone else is thinking as well as where I value guys higher and maybe could wait to draft that particular player. I break down my rankings into tiers. If you are not familiar with tiers, please take a look at my QB rankings for a full explanation. Here we go with my Top 60 Fantasy Football PPR Running Backs.

As you can see from the ADP , I am not far off. Now let’s take a look at the tiers.
Tier One
| Saquon Barkley | NYG | 1 |
| Ezekiel Elliott | DAL | 2 |
| Christian McCaffrey | CAR | 3 |
| Alvin Kamara | NO | 4 |
I am hoping to get the 4th pick in all my drafts. If you grab have the 4th pick A) you are guaranteed one of the Four and B) you get a better player on the way back than the 3 that picked ahead of you. Just a strategy I have been thinking about. You can make a case for any of these four guys. It goes by preference. The only one to worry about here is Elliot. He may hold out for selfish reasons, its more of a wait and see. For my true feelings on Zeke, take a look at why I do not think he deserves a contract extension this year.
Tier Two
| Melvin Gordon | LAC | 5 |
| David Johnson | ARI | 6 |
| Le’Veon Bell | NYJ | 7 |
| Todd Gurley | LA | 9 |
| James Conner | PIT | 8 |
| Joe Mixon | CIN | 10 |
| Dalvin Cook | MIN | 11 |
| Nick Chubb | CLE | 12 |
| Marlon Mack | IND | 18 |
| Damien Williams | KC | 13 |
| Josh Jacobs | OAK | 19 |
| Leonard Fournette | JAC | 14 |
So many questions in this tier, but these guys are all capable of being number one’s. My two question marks are will Melvin Gordon Hold out? Knowing the way the Chargers have handled contracts, he just may. The other question is what Leonard Fournette will we be getting? To many issues left him off the field last year. I had him in 3 of my leagues and it hurt bad, thankfully I was able to make adjustments. I have no idea why Marlon Mack and Josh Jacobs are dropping. They have the potential to be every down backs. Jacobs has no one behind him and when Mack played, he was outstanding. Hope those two fall to me.
Tier 3
Rank | Name | Tm | ADP |
| Devonta Freeman | ATL | 15 |
| Aaron Jones | GB | 16 |
| Derrick Henry | TEN | 17 |
| Phillip Lindsay | DEN | 23 |
| Kerryon Johnson | DET | 20 |
| Sony Michel | NE | 21 |
| James White | NE | 28 |
| Chris Carson | SEA | 24 |
| Mark Ingram | BAL | 22 |
| Tarik Cohen | CHI | 29 |
| Kenyan Drake | MIA | 25 |
Here is where your RB 2’s start. If you read my last article you can see why I would like to give Devonta Freeman another shot even though he has let a lot of us down. I love Derrick Henry he was on a tear the later part of last season. I do not think Dion Lewis is even going touch the ball except on 3rd and longs and passing down. This was the head scratcher for me. In PPR there has not been a better back than James White. His ADP is 28th. I would rather take White over the guys I have ranked under him. I do not think his role will change much with a crowded backfield. He has been Brady’s guy out of the backfield.
Tier Four
| Derrius Guice | WAS | 27 |
| David Montgomery | CHI | 26 |
| Miles Sanders | PHI | 32 |
| Lamar Miller | HOU | 31 |
| Tevin Coleman | SF | 30 |
| Rashaad Penny | SEA | 33 |
| LeSean McCoy | BUF | 37 |
| Latavius Murray | NO | 36 |
| Jordan Howard | PHI | 34 |
| Austin Ekeler | LAC | 45 |
| Jerick McKinnon | SF | 41 |
| Nyheim Hines | IND | 51 |
| Peyton Barber | TB | 42 |
| Royce Freeman | DEN | 38 |
| Ronald Jones | TB | 40 |
| Dion Lewis | TEN | 48 |
| Darrell Henderson | LA | 35 |
| D’Onta Foreman | HOU | 46 |
| Ito Smith | ATL | 49 |
Here are your RB2/ Flex guys. A lot of questions here as well. Can Derrius Guice stay healthy? Is LeSean McCoy finished being a capable back? Is the 49ers backfield to overcrowded? Who will start for the Bucs, Barber or Jones? There a few good handcuffs here as well, Ekeler,Hines,Freeman, Ito Smith and Darrell Henderson. Henderson is a must if you are taking Gurley. If you want to know more about the rookies take a look at what I wrote up about Montgomery ,Sanders and Henderson in my piece about the rookie class.
Tier Five
| Carlos Hyde | KC | 43 |
| Kalen Ballage | MIA | 59 |
| Duke Johnson | CLE | 62 |
| Jalen Richard | OAK | 63 |
| Matt Breida | SF | 52 |
| Giovani Bernard | CIN | 61 |
| Damien Harris | NE | 50 |
| Jamaal Williams | GB | 55 |
| Jaylen Samuels | PIT | 47 |
| Chris Thompson | WAS | 60 |
| Theo Riddick | DET | 72 |
| C.J. Anderson | DET | 57 |
| Devin Singletary | BUF | 53 |
| Kareem Hunt | CLE | 39 |
Well what can you say here. These are your RB 4’s or just a take a chance on type of guys. Before I go, I do want to explain why I have Hunt at 60 and his ADP is 39th at running back. I honestly find no value in taking a guy at 39th when he is missing 8 games of the season. I know the reports are good but I just can’t do it. People who know me will tell you I was the biggest Kareem Hunt fan in his rookie year. After the video came out, I honestly was crushed. The talent is there but he is just not for me this year. Thanks for tuning into my Top 60 Fantasy Football PPR Running Backs!
