Being a fan of the White Sox, Bulls and Bears I’ve seen a lot of fucked up games in my life. Southampton was the team that broke my heart though. I’ve never seen anything like this. 9-0, yep you read that right a 9-0 loss at home. Now I know there was a red card, it was raining and Leicester are one of the best teams in the league. It doesn’t matter that was the most embarrassing thing I’ve seen in my life. We should be relegated right now for that performance.
I’m personally not a Ralph Hasenhuttl out guy. I still think he’s the best manager we’ve had since Koeman. But he has to take some blame for a performance like that. It was 9-0 they had 25 shots and 72 percent of the possession. Its really not even just about the score, there’s players on the pitch who just don’t care. It means nothing to wear a Southampton jersey to them. We constantly concede late goals and fall apart after the other teams, we are so mentally soft I can’t believe. I think we need an entire roster shake up.
What Happened to our Players
I really thought Hojbjerg had a chance to be a club legend, he was going to solve our midfield problems. I haven’t seen him do anything productive in months. A lot of fans don’t agree with me on Romeu but his abilities just don’t help us at all. He’s an unathletic solid defense midfielder, that contributes nothing on offense. Unless we can revamp the squad and allow him to play a purely defensive role and he surrounded by guys who can advance the ball we have no need for him. This next player has actually broken my heart and I’m not even being dramatic. James Ward Prowse is not any good. All he does is pass sideways or backwards and he’s a turnstile on defense. It sucks when an academy legend doesn’t work out but he’s not a Premier League player.
There’s only two Southampton players worth anything
Redmond and Bednarek are the only players worth any praise on this roster. They actually care about this team and have talent. Redmond may not be Mane, but he flies around the pitch and actually has some creativity with the ball at his feet. Jan Bednarek always puts his body on the line and its clear he’s the best defender on the team by a large margin. I would pay money for Stuart Armstrong to get a shot to be a starter. Gunn is a young keeper I guess he deserves a chance. Everyone else who played isn’t even worth a mention.
Sell everyone loan everyone I don’t care. Do something. Put the young players in, we don’t have any talent anyways. At least they’ll play hard for a spot in the team. I still can’t believe a loss like this happened. Good thing we have Man City on the road coming up twice. I need a completely new line up I cant watch these bums anymore. Please Ralph fix us.
