Tiger won the Zozo Championship Sunday, making his PGA Tour win count 82 and tying the record for the most wins of all time. Tiger Woods ties Sam Snead’s record with 82 PGA Tour wins.

Not that long ago it looked like Tiger was never going to be back at the top of his game. After watching him play last weekend, I can confidently say: he is back.

It’s been a long time coming for Tiger Woods fans. As a younger fan myself I never really got to see Tiger in his prime. Although I wasn’t following a big part of his path to 82 wins. Tiger was the guy I rooted for in every golf tournament. The 2019 Masters was one of the greatest sports moments I have seen in my lifetime. Coming back from fusion surgery, it didn’t look like we’d get to see another moment like that from Tiger. But at 43 years old, he went out there at Augusta and won the whole thing. Giving hope back to his fans.

On Sunday night in Japan, he did it again. Tiger held off Hideki Matsuyama to get his 82nd victory, and by the looks of it, it won’t be the last. Tiger started off with a bogey on the first three holes making it seem like a disaster was incoming. Never doubt the best though. Woods is now ranked 6th in the world and it doesn’t seem like he’s going to slow down anytime soon.

Tiger had the ability to put himself on the American roster for the upcoming President’s Cup, and with the way he’s been playing recently, that sounds like a good choice. Tiger Woods ties Sam Snead’s record with 82 PGA Tour wins.
