Well it’s that time again, another episode (taped last week) of Monday Night RAW is in the books so if you didn’t read spoilers last week, were you pleased? My feeling is that spoilers were read by a lot of people because is having trouble putting on a series of entertaining shows.

I am not the biggest fan of shows in different countries only because they seem to do minimal with storylines already in progress.

On the other hand the storylines we have been given recently have not been the greatest so who cares where the shows are being taped from, unless you can’t resist reading spoilers, like yours truly.

Honestly, this was one of my favorite all around shows from London in a long time. Other shows may have had better moments (Big Show choke slamming Roman on top of a car) but the show gave us very good wrestling. New matchups and lots of things to discuss both positively and negatively. My students I teach always ask me to give the bad news first, so let’s first discuss what didn’t work last night.

I will not waste a lot of time in the Rusev/Lana/Lashley storyline because I’m not a fan. The WWE universe are not fans of it so why give it any time. They had a segment, it was awful, the fans booed the whole time, the end. Next I was very confused about what RAW is doing with Rowan.

Rowan was built on SmackDown as no nonsense, don’t need anyone tough guy. Instead of rolling with that, now they have him carrying around some mystery item in a bag.

It’s like he’s half tough biker guy half creepo from the Wyatt family. I am a fan of Rowan, I hope his character gets developed quickly and correctly. I wish RAW could figure out a way to give us Viking Raiders vs Bludgeon Brothers, that would be non stop action. Another negative would be how the NXT UK talent was treated in their own back yard. I have a problem with already formed stables like Imperium losing to a team thrown together. Rollins, Owens, and the Street Profits had no buisness winning.

You book Walter over a Street Profit and call it a day. Imperium stays strong and the Street Profits stay popular no big deal. The next UK talent done wrong was Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster. It’s fine they lost to the Viking Raiders but give these guys meaningful minutes, three to five minutes was nothing. Andrews and Webster can really go, and they have a very bright future, they deserve more time to show their skills to an audience who does not pay 9.99 a month.

RAW’s best moments started right off the bat. The Kabuki Warriors vs Charlotte and Becky was a very good match, then throw in Becky and Shayna and you keep building a very interesting storyline for Survivor Series. The triple threat for the women’s title may steal the show in my opinion. The hatred these ladies have for each other is “real” and the action and promos have been very intense. They kept the storyline going! Now Bayley is 100 percent invested in this match. I can’t wait for these three ladies to burn it down at Survivor Series.

Another positive but negative result was the main event. Great action between the OC and Orton, Ricochet and Carrillo but why did the faces go over? You have the U.S Champion and “the best tag team in the world” losing to one and done creation barring a rematch. You book A.J. over Carrillo ( who doesn’t deserve the main event) everyone wins. OC stays strong heading into their match(es) at Survivor Series, the faces and Orton lose nothing because of who they lost too.

Beside the result, the match was very good, everyone did their part. Randy Orton needs to be the next challenger to Brock. He is so entertaining and if your not putting Drew McIntyre next, Randy is believable. Randy has a legitimate shot to dethrone the Beast and why not, you just gave him a lucrative deal, let him dance with the Beast and make the company more money.

One thing that was revealed is team RAW. Rollins, Orton, McIntyre, Owens and Ricochet looks great on paper but looks are deceiving. Will RAW be written in as the winning team or will creative give us backstabbing and betrayal as it comes to this team? The storylines you can create with these five are endless. I am very excited to see where this goes in the next few weeks.

Well the road to Survivor Series continues next week for the RAW Superstars barring another RAW Invasion. What questions do you have and what will be answered next week? Until then keep your fingers crossed RAW returns to greatness.
