Despite his publicly chronicled family quarrels, Aaron Rodgers is a pretty giving guy.
Sure, the number of times he’s talked to his parents in the past 10 years is equal to the amount of interceptions he’s thrown this year (four).
Seriously though, he’s a generous guy.
So generous in fact, he’s already dished out 39 touchdown passes to nine different Packers receivers. Not to mention his 3,685 yards through the air to go along with it. Other than an outlier performance in a blowout loss to the Bucs, Rodgers has thrown for at least two touchdowns in 13 games. Not bad for a 37-year-old.

Dynamic Duo
While the entire Packers offense has escalated it’s play alongside Rodgers’ heroics, Davante Adams has truly reaped the benefits. With 1,144 yards and 14 touchdowns, Adams is making his buddy Aaron look like Santa Claus.
Except this year, it’ll be Rodgers asking for the MVP trophy from Santa Claus come seasons end.
To this point, I wouldn’t be shocked if the relationship between Adams and Rodgers is stronger than that of Aaron and his brother Jordan. Maybe if the younger Rodgers brother learned how to run routes instead of trying to follow in Aaron’s footsteps, they’d have something to talk about.
For now, that conversation will have to wait for an awkward holiday dinner some years down the road. Even then, it’s unlikely.

When Rodgers threw his 400th career touchdown, fittingly to Adams, last Sunday, the celebration seemed more like a romance than a brotherhood. Stay in your lane Danica Patrick, and open your eyes to why Aaron really broke up with you. Davante Adams is catching more than footballs from your ex.
Eyes on the Prize
As the playoffs approach, the probability of Rodgers winning a third MVP is only ascending. Despite the eye-popping stats, the legacy of No. 12 in Green Bay, combined with the team’s success, only helps his case. The Packers clinched the NFC North title with their win over Detroit yesterday. They have 10 wins and will likely hold onto the one-seed in the NFC barring a disaster. All very familiar feats for Rodgers.
So, as he continues his push for 50 touchdown passes and 4,500 yards, don’t discount Rodgers’ chances of leading the Pack to a deep playoff run. You can save that for the State Farm agents.
Heck, it may even lighten him up a little bit. Maybe then he’ll talk to his brother or his parents. Or, maybe he’ll do what he always has. Save the high-fives and back-slaps for his teammates.
He has visions of his perfectly groomed mustache, and a second Lombardi Trophy, dancing in his head.
