March 19th, 2022– Leading into Friday Night’s matchup with the Sacramento Kings, Celtics’ Superstar, Jayson Tatum, gifted his teammates with brand new green iPhone 13’s. The New Phone Celtics are looking to replicate the phones and get some rings this June. In their game against the struggling Kings, they, once again, showed their dominance.
Celtics Dominate Kings
The Celtics continued their road trip with a game against the banged-up Kings. This was the second of their four-game road trip. With a win and the Bulls’ loss, they can continue to gain ground on the slumping Chicago squad and try moving up over Philadelphia and Milwaukee.
In a potential trap game for Boston, the Jay’s wasted no time. Jaylen Brown got the Celtics underway with 16 first-quarter points. Jayson Tatum kept it going with 17 second-quarter points. This duo continues to put games away early by playing through each other. Rough night for the “they can’t co-exist” crowd. These two carry Boston to 26-9 since January 1st, only the Suns rank higher.

Ime Udoka has seemed to find his third guy off the bench, which is important with the playoffs around the corner. Payton Pritchard shot lights out in the fourth to put away the Kings. Pritchard totaled nine of his 14 points off the bench in the first three minutes of fourth-quarter play.
In a 126-97 win, the Kings made a push for competitiveness near the end of the third quarter. However, once Tatum stepped back onto the floor, a comeback was no more. Tatum racked up 32 points on 75% shooting, including seven threes and a +40. Jaylen Brown contributed heavily with 30 points. The Celtics all together put up 22 made three-pointers.
Scorching Clovers
Everything is trending right for Boston going into the playoffs. 18-3 over their last 21 games and have been the best defense in the league. For Boston, eight of their last eleven opponents will be against teams in the playoff picture. An early smell of some potential matchups as they play the Heat, Bucks, Nuggets, Jazz, and Grizzlies.
This team is out for rings and not from their phones. The New Phone Celtics are one of the favorites to hold up that trophy at the end of the year and with performances like this, they are well on track.
