The Masked Singer season nine showed the Battle of the Saved episode this week, where the three saved by bell singers competed for their spot in the finals.
Season nine allowed the panelists to save a contestant each round from elimination. The three saved singers include Mantis, Gargoyle, and Medusa and they competed for a spot in the quarterfinals. Therefore only one singer moved on. Here is a recap of the episode for those who missed it.

Mantis
Mantis rocked the stage with his amazing performance this week. It was his best performance of the season. Therefore the panelists were stumped about his identity. His clues referenced that he starred in a lot of movies.
Clues: Silver screen, dad, movie credits, maverick, and baseball diamond.
Popular Guesses: Dennis Quaid, Lou Diamond Phillips
Gargoyle
Gargoyle gave another spectacular performance this week with a sweet rendition of a classic song. He has a silky smooth voice and is fun to watch. Also, the panelists think he is an athlete based on the clues. His clue package referenced that he played on many underdog squads.
Clues: game controller, squads, jukebox, pregame, and zone.
Popular Guesses: Antonio Gates
Medusa
Medusa gave an emotional performance this week. She has an interesting voice with a bit of an accent to it. Therefore the panelists think she could be a young upcoming singer or actress based on the clues. Her clues mentioned that she goes by an alias when she performs.
Clues: a second chance, sun, England, tattoos, alias, and competition show.

Saved Battle Reveals
There were two huge reveals this week. The Mantis was eliminated and revealed as actor Lou Diamond Phillips. Also, Gargoyle was revealed as NFL star Keenan Allen from Los Angeles Chargers.
