Episode Two of The Masked Singer Season 12 debuted this week. The remaining four singers in Group A took the stage with another big reveal.
This special episode celebrated the 40th anniversary of the beloved movie Footloose. The contestants paid tribute to the iconic soundtrack that made the film a cultural phenomenon. It was a must-watch episode for fans of the show and the movie.
Group A Episode Two

Song and Performance: Ship sang ” Almost Paradise” by Mike Reno this week. She gave a beautiful rendition of the song and her vocals were strong. The panelists consider her a top contender in the competition.
Panel Guesses: Annie Lennox and Cher
Clue Packages: This week Ship mentioned in her clue package that she had massive hits and made history. She also lost control of her career and has made a recent comeback. The visual clues included a Bedazzled cowboy hat, antennas, and a sea boat.
Woodpecker
Song and Performance: Woodpecker gave a sweet performance of ” I Need A Hero” this week. She had solid vocals that proved that she may be a professional singer. Also, her stage presence and dancing were impressive.
Panel Guesses: Cardi B and Keke Palmer
Clue Package: Woodpecker mentions that she knocked on big doors that gave her big opportunities. Also, she is a triple-threat performer who sings, dances, and acts. The visual clues given included an SAT answer sheet, red sports tape, and a red carpet.

Song and Performance: Buffalos gave an amazing rendition of ” Waiting For a Girl Like You”. They have great voices and harmonies. Based on the performance they could be a true contender this year.
Panel Guesses: 98 Degrees, Boys to Men, and Bell Biv Devoe
Clue Package: Buffalo says in the latest clue package that thanks to a big career moment he can travel the world and has starred in two highly successful sitcoms. The visual clues include a slot machine, a film reel, and famous actresses.
Show Bird
Song and Performance: Showbird strongly performed the song “Let’s Hear It for The Boy”.She has a nice voice and stage presence. Though she may be out of her element her performance proved otherwise.
Panel Guesses: Kerry Washington, Taraji P Henson
Clue Packages: The show bird said she barred her soul in some of the biggest blockbuster movies ever and was part of a hip-hop empire. The visual clues included a blue screen, an Advanced Singing 101 book, and glittery boots.
Reveal
There was another big elimination this week. Based on the in-studio audience and panelists’ votes the lowest-scoring singer was Showbird. In a shocking elimination, she was revealed as actress Yvette Nicole Brown.
This week the competition heated up with some talented singers. Tune in next week for the Group A finals and Sound Track of My Life Night. The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 7/8 c on Fox and stream on Hulu.
