With throwback weekend in the rearview, NASCAR heads to the Monster Mile at Dover for the Drydene 400. The 400 lap race will be split into stages of 120/120/160 with a competition caution on lap 35. After his dominating performance at Darlington last week, Martin Truex Jr. will lead the field to green on pole position. The race will be aired on Sunday at 2 pm ET on FS1. Here is the full Dover Preview.

Denny Hamlin will start beside Truex with William Byron and Kyle Larson in row two. Row three will consist of Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch. Ryan Blaney and Chase Elliott will start in seventh and eighth with Joey Logano and Chris Buescher rounding out the top ten. Notable mentions to drivers who will be starting towards the back of the field are Aric Almirola, Cole Custer, and Kurt Busch. All had early wrecks that ended their days at Darlington last week.
Josh Berry will also be making his Cup Series debut at Dover. He will be driving the number 77 for Spire Motorsports after the regular driver, Justin Haley didn’t meet Covid protocol. Berry has been running in the Xfinity Series for JR Motorsports and captured his first series win at Martinsville earlier this season.
My Picks
The past six races that have been held at Dover have all seen different winners. Out of those six, Martin Truex Jr. and Kevin Harvick have had the most success here. With Truex heating up now with three wins and Harvick still looking for his first of the season, I think one of them will see victory lane. I still wouldn’t rule out someone like Kyle Larson though. After last week, he probably will come into Sunday with a chip on his shoulder looking for nothing better than a win.
