The final race of the debut SRX season is here! Driver and series owner, Tony Stewart is leading the points standings 38 points ahead of Ernie Francis Jr who is sitting in second. The series is heading to Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. A 0.596-mile pages oval that is known for its exciting races. Here is the SRX finale preview!

Race Lineup

All superstars will be contending as well as Hailie Deegan and Chase Elliott! For this weekend, Deegan will be in the number one digital camo machine and Elliott is bringing his sponsor, NAPA, in his number 94 car.

Just like the previous races, the one-off drivers will not be competing for the championship. But Elliott will be competing against his father, Bill Elliott. Which is going to be pretty cool to see! Deegan has also done pretty well over the last two races she’s contended in. Both ending with her in the top five.

Standings

As stated before, Stewart is at the top of the leaderboard with 199 points. Francis is 38 points behind with 161. It’s going to take a dominant performance from Francis if he wants a chance to win the championship. He’ll have to win both heats and the feature, all while hoping Stewart either wrecks or runs near the back. But with how this season has gone, I wouldn’t count on either.

My Picks

Making a pick for this weekend was tough. But after some thinking, I’ve got to go with Tony Stewart. I know, I know. Pick the guy who was a part of the making SRX. But he’s been one of the dominant drivers all season. When he doesn’t win, he’s still up front battling. As much as I’d love to see it, I don’t think Ernie Francis Jr has that good of a chance. Yeah, he could win both heats and the feature. But he also has to hope that Tony doesn’t have a good race, and I don’t like those odds. Does that mean I think Stewart will be dominant each run? No, cause he will probably have Deegan, Andretti, Castroneves, Francis, and two Elliott’s on his tail. It’s going to take some work but if anyone can get it done, it’s Smoke.
