Managing Fantasy Football Injuries isn’t fun, but it comes in handy. For example, the Arizona Cardinals scorned many fantasy managers in Week Seven. If you started David Johnson after seeing he was active on Sunday, he had one carry for two yards. Conversely, benching Chase Edmonds due to DJ being active on Sunday means missing out on 126 yards rushing and three touchdowns.

Don’t you love fantasy football?
Below I’ll give you three fantasy football injury tips that will help you to out-strategize your opponents. After all, it really is a game of inches.
Watch the reports
Don’t simply rely on what the news section of your fantasy football app tells you. This week if you had kept track of the Cardinals’ reports, you would have noticed DJ was limited all week in practice and Kingsbury noted that if the team were to have played on Friday, he would not have played. A person with even a little common sense could have seen the writing on the wall and at least thought about starting Edmonds.
Know the coaching staff
Some coaches are extremely forthcoming with injury news regarding the team such as the Eagles. Others are either completely oblivious or hopelessly optimistic, think Pete Carroll. The last type of coach is the Belichick type and, well, that’s self-explanatory. Kliff Kingsbury is turning out to be more on the Belichick side of the spectrum based on his short history with the Cardinals as evidenced by his handling of the Christian Kirk and now David Johnson injury.

I know what you’re thinking, what a shameless plug, and maybe you’re right. But hear me out: prior to Week Seven I had an injury outlook accuracy of 76%. If you would rather delegate managing fantasy football injuries to me, please do! Every week I discuss every fantasy relevant player’s injury outlook and give my best prediction on whether he’ll be active/inactive, productive/unproductive, and when certain players will be back. I won’t talk too much about it, you can read more about it yourself here and read my pregame thought process on DJ here. The last thing I should mention is that it’s COMPLETELY FREE. None of my content is behind a paywall and I don’t see that changing. I give up to the minute injury analysis on Twitter and it’s a central hub for all my content, so give me a follow!
I hope I was able to provide some insight when it comes to managing fantasy football injuries. Let me know what you think!
