Week 11 is now in the books, and with the final bye weeks coming up  (LAR, KC) along with several injuries, the waiver wire is slimming down. Here is a look at my top waiver wire adds for Week 12:

Quarterback

Jameis-Winston

Jameis Winston – TB (10% )

Winston is once again the Bucs starting quarterback after he was benched for the last 2 weeks in favor of Ryan Fitzpatrick. In relief of Fitzpatrick this week, Winston completed 12-16 passes for 199 yards and two passing touchdowns. I understand this is a mess of a situation as Dirk Koetter will pull the plug on either quarterback at any given time when they struggle. With two of the best young quarterbacks going on bye in Week 12 (Mahomes and Goff), Winston would be a nice waiver addition to help you gain a spot into the Fantasy playoffs as the Bucs will be taking on the 49ers at home for the Week 12 matchup.

Running Back

Gus-Edwards

Gus Edwards – BAL (4%)

Gus Edwards came out of nowhere for the Ravens in a game against the division rival Bengals, rushing the ball 17 times for 115 yards and a touchdown as well as a 2 point conversion. The undrafted free agent has a great opportunity to take the Ravens running back job from Alex Collins after Edwards’ great rushing performance Sunday. With it almost being fantasy football playoff time, Gus Edwards could be a huge boost to your fantasy squad.

Josh-Adams

Josh Adams – PHI (32%)

In the 2nd straight week that Josh Adams rushed the ball just 7 times, the rookie runner again impressed as he ran for 53 yards and a 28 yard touchdown run. He also got involved in the passing game, catching 3 of 6 passes for 19 yards. The Eagles were trailing the Saints all game long, basically making Adams’ day as a runner nonexistent as the Eagles had to try and come back into a game that they were truly never in. With Adams running the way he has been, the Eagles would be wise to get the rookie runner more involved and get their run game established so they can open up more play action passes and run pass options.

Wide Receiver

DJ-Moore

DJ Moore – CAR (39%)

Moore broke out in Week 11 with his biggest game of the season, catching 7 of 8 passes for 157 yards and 1 touchdown for 28 ppr points. Moore had two highlight reel plays, one coming on an 82 yard catch and run where he made several defenders miss, almost getting into the endzone, and the other a great leaping grab in the red zone with a defender draped all over him. With the NFC South most likely locked up by the Saints, the Panthers are fighting for a wild card spot and should continue to find ways to get talented first round pick more involved in the offense. I think Moore makes a great add this week if he is available as he has the upside to help your team get into the fantasy playoffs.

Tre'Quan-Smith

Tre’Quan Smith – NO (26%)

Many fantasy owners who owned Smith but dropped him after he went untargeted in Week 10 are now regretting their decisions. Smith went off in Week 11 against the Eagles, catching 10 of 13 targets for 157 yards and a touchdown. Working in the loaded Saints offense, you never know who will have their big days, but with the potential to have a breakout game at any time, Smith is certainly worth a waiver add.

Tight End

Cameron-Brate

Cameron Brate – TB (21%)

This one is a risky claim, but if OJ Howards is forced to miss time with the ankle injury he suffered Sunday, Brate would be a great addition for your team. The Bucs are a pass first run 2nd type of team, and with defenses more so worried about Mike Evans, things should be opened up for the big tight end. Until more information is revealed about OJ Howard’s injury status, I would hold off on putting a claim in, unless you currently own OJ and have a roster spot on your bench to hold Brate. If news comes out Tuesday that Howard is expected to miss time, I would consider Brate a must add.
