I feel like I’ve written a blog like this for a few years in a row. Somewhere in the off-season, the Dolphins are linked to every player and QB that has ever put on a helmet. The worst part about this is that many people eat that trash. I know that I shouldn’t react to any of the off-season garbage like I am, but usually, this over-saturation of Dolphin’s rumors doesn’t happen until March. It’s currently not March and I’m already over all of this.

It would be nice if the Dolphins were ever solid at QB so that they wouldn’t be in this position seemingly every year, but it’s the Dolphins were talking about. They really can’t help themselves. Today’s news, in the Twittersphere, is that the Dolphins who’ve pined over Tua Tagvailoa for the last year, even after his hip injury, are starting to sniff around Justin Herbert. As per Pro Football Talk;

According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, citing sources familiar with the team’s thinking, the Dolphins have “an increasingly positive view” of Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert.

Armando has been covering the Dolphins for many years. If he’s reporting that the Dolphins are linked to a player, the information probably didn’t come from a janitor or cafeteria worker. It came from someone within the organization that is somewhat close to management.

But the thing is, every person who’s eligible has been linked to the Dolphins.

We’ve also heard the rumors of current NFL QBs possibly headed to Miami. The Dolphins are linked to even current players such as Tom Brady.

Everyone is on Their List

What does this ultimately mean? It means we’re going to continue to hear reports about every quarterback that has ever lived being thrown into a Dolphin’s jersey. Ric Mirer, sure. Spergon Wynn to the Dolphins, why not? Miami has talked about what Jeff George has left. Would that headline anyone at this point? If you ever threw a football before, you’re going to get attached to the Dolphins QB situation.

What We Know

Here’s what we know. We know shit, I know shit. None of us know what the Dolphin’s true plans are because they don’t exactly know. We all know they have the fifth pick, for now. Are the Dolphins putting this information out to try and scare the Lions in some kind of way? Are they putting this info out there because they’re starting to think the Lions or someone else is going to take Tua before they could? And they’re getting everyone warm to the idea of them taking Herbert? Who knows? Everyone who is acting as they do really know, they don’t.

The Dolphins being connected to every player is something you’re going to have to accept. The only thing we know is that at one time the Dolphins wanted Tua real bad. That could have changed or maybe it didn’t Remember, we don’t know shit.

So once again, I’ll have to look at every person’s worthless mock draft and post about, insert player’s name, and if the Dolphins should sign them. I shouldn’t get this annoyed by this because I know it happens every year. But, me writing this blog is therapeutic for me. I’ll be fine after this. I can’t wait to read the next report about the Dolphins being interested in Antonio Brown.
