Arguably the most interesting division in football, the AFC South has four teams that are all expected to go around 10-6. The Colts have one of the top teams and over 100 million cap space to spend, easilly making them Super Bowl contenders next season. The Jaguars have a top defense and could compete for a Super Bowl if they find the right Quarterback. The Texans have a lot of cap space and a few stars like JJ Watt and Deandre Hopkins. Lastly, the Titans. A team with a solid defense with a decent amount of cap space that could win the division if they sign the right 2 or 3 players.

Colts: Sign Adrian Amos (Safety, Chicago Bears) – The Colts have the most cap space in the NFL and can sign some of the best players in the free agency. Adrian Amos is one of those great players and a really underrated player as well. It seems like most people don’t consider Amos to be a top 20 safety, which is beyond ridiculous. He is one of the best Strong Safeties in football and signing him for around 12 million per season would be a great pickup for the Colts. Pairing him with Malik Hooker could create a very solid safety duo in the secondary.

Jaguars: Sign Eric Weddle (Safety, Ravens) – Whether the Jaguars decide to draft Dwayne Haskins or sign Nick Foles, they need to get new help at the safety position. Eric Weddle is the perfect guy for Jacksonville. He would be an immediate plug-and-play starter for the Jaguars. Not only is Weddle just a fantastic player, but he brings more veteran leadership to that team. Between Leonard Fournette and Jalen Ramsey, it seemed like leadership may have been an issue for the Jaguars. Weddle would be able to fill a huge hole in that defense without breaking the bank (especially when you don’t have one to break).

Texans: Draft Joshua Jacobs (Running Back, Alabama) – The fact that Joshua Jacobs is currently projected to be available by pick 23 is an astonishment. Even though Lamar Miller had a solid season in 2018 for the Texans, they need to move on. Joshua Jacobs is the perfect player for Houston. Joshua Jacobs is a fantastic runner, being elusive and powerful at the same time. Not only can he run the ball well, but he can also be a receiver for the Texans. Lamar Miller is not a receiver, so giving Deshaun Watson a weapon to throw the ball to when he is under pressure is a huge deal. And hey, if the Texans decide to block the Running Back on 3rd and long, you don’t have to worry about Jacobs missing a block. He is solid enough as a pass blocker to give Watson enough time to throw the ball. At pick 23, Jacobs could be the first steal of the draft.

Titans: Sign Sheldon Richarson (Defensive Line, Vikings) – Sheldon Richardson is the main player the Titans should target this upcoming free agency. He is 28 years old and could be of use for the Titans. The Titans only have one solid player on that defensive line, Jurrell Casey. The rest of that interior is weak, so being able to sign Sheldon Richardson would be the key to the Titans defensive success. They have one of the best secondaries in the league and just need more players who can stop the run. And who knows, maybe the Titans could draft Clemson’s Defensive Tackle Christian Wilkins to create the “Tennessee Trio”.
