Not that I needed any more reason to root for the Georgia Bulldogs to upset Alabama, but this little Georgia fan, whose name is Claire, having to go to school only to get ambushed by all her Crimson Tide loving classmates is just not what you want to deal with it when you walk into your classroom.
Claire Handled It As Good As You Can
You can see the look on Claire’s face as she was greeted and saw the elaborate setup all geared to make her feel like her Georgia Bulldogs have no chance. We’ve all been there too. Maybe not in the exact way Claire had to deal with it, but we all have those friends that very much enjoy rooting against your sports team and rub in your face whenever your team screws up. Most of the time it ends up in a shouting match, but Claire handled this situation as good as anyone could. And at 8 years old, she’s light years ahead of her classmates in displaying grace and poise.
Lets Go Georgia
I hate Alabama. I hate them with everything I have because of Nick Saban. Nick Saban ruined my life years ago when he first thought Daunte Culpepper was a better investment than Drew Brees and when he lied to me and the rest of the human race that he wasn’t leaving the Dolphins to go to Alabama only to do that exact thing the next day. Since that moment, Alabama has been like a fully strengthened Infinity Gauntlet and Nick Saban has ascended into being the mad titan of not just college football but sports all together. So it pains me every year to see Saban and Alabama roll everyone in their path only for me to watch as I can do nothing to help the Dolphins, or anyone in college football.
Perhaps Claire Is Captain Marvel
Maybe just maybe Georgia needed some help to get past Alabama and the strength that Claire showed in dealing with her classmates barrage of teasing will motivate them to play like they’ve never played before. I’m going into this game tonight believing that to be the case because I need something or someone to believe in. I want Claire to walk into school like Vince McMahon with the biggest grin on her face just laughing right at everyone who was a part of ruse.
PS- Some people actually think this is bullying or something that shouldn’t happen need to relax. Claire’s mother, who seems like the coolest mom going, was all for this because she knows her daughter is tough as nails. Also, the teacher is one of the good ones as well.
