Monday Night Raw comes to us live tonight from inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California!
Who Will be the Special Guest Referee at Stomping Grounds?
Tonight, Baron Corbin is set to announce who will be the special guest referee in his Universal title match against Seth Rollins at Stomping Grounds.
Corbin has been helped the past few weeks by superstars like Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn. It more than likely seems that one of the two, if not both could be slotted as referee Sunday. Either way, Seth Rollins is coming out on top Sunday, period.
Another Best in the World Celebration
Another week, another best in the world celebration! Are you not excited? It’s such good sh*t!
Last week, the Revival recaptured the Raw tag team titles for the first time since losing them at ‘Mania. To be fair, this is what many fans wanted for months; the Revival having a lengthy reign as tag champs, but not like this.
The pair are lackeys to Shane McMahon, hence the best in the world celebration this week. Shane McMahon has watered down WWE since WrestleMania. He’s involved with multiple story lines at this point. Having McMahon ‘help’ the Revival is only going to hurt them going forward with their championship reign and beyond.
If you want to hear my whole opinion on how Shane McMahon is a huge reason WWE TV is terrible right now, click here.
Fatal 5-Way For a United States Title Opportunity
The first steps to United States championship relevancy started with Rey Mysterio relinquishing the title back to Samoa Joe. Tonight, there will be a fatal 5-way to determine Joe’s next challenger this Sunday.
Braun Strowman, Miz, Ricochet, Cesaro, and Bobby Lashley will square off tonight. The most likely and obvious answer is Braun Strowman. Since this is a multi-man match, Strowman could take the loss and not be involved in the finish whatsoever. If this is the case, it’s the perfect opportunity to give Cesaro or Ricochet a singles match at the PPV. If not, Miz has needed to be in a title picture for months.
‘Crate’ Expectations
R Truth has been carrying WWE TV on his back since the 24/7 title was introduced. He’s already a multiple time champion and there’s no end in sight. I love it.
Last week while trying to hide from superstars who were trying to take his title, he hopped inside a production crate and locked himself in. The crate was to be shipped to LA, the home of Monday Night Raw for tonight.
There can only be hilarious things to come of this, and I can’t wait. Have Carmella go search every production crate trying to find him or every superstar waiting for him when he comes out of the crate; anything. It’s going to be good.
Daniel Bryan on Raw
Because of the ever so popular Wild Card rule, one half of the SmackDown tag team champions, Daniel Bryan is headed to Monday Night Raw tonight.
Rowan isn’t announced to show up with him, so it’ll be interesting to see what he does. Maybe a one off match against Seth Rollins or someone on par with him for no reason at all (i’m fine with that). Or maybe he’s here just to preach about how we shouldn’t use single use plastic containers or something to that nature.
Either way, the Planet’s tag team champion will be on Monday Night Raw tonight, and we should be grateful.
