SmackDown Live comes to us tonight from inside the FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN!
The Kings Court w/ Trish Stratus
Jerry “The King” Lawler returns to SmackDown Live tonight in his hometown of Memphis for a special edition of The Kings Court. His guest, none other than WWE Hall of Famer, Trish Stratus!
The outcome of this segment seems obvious, Stratus vs. Flair at SummerSlam. The Queen said last week that her opponent will be better than Ember Moon. This is exactly what she was talking about. A huge match between two of the best women wrestlers in WWE history is exactly what their woman’s division, and the Woman’s Revolution as a whole needs.
Stratus will be a fan favorite, as she will be in her home country of Canada. Flair will have all the heat in the world at the biggest party of the summer, making her eventual win mean even more.
Finn Balor vs. Dolph Ziggler
For the second night in a row, Dolph Ziggler is in a high profile match. Last night, Ziggler wrestled Seth Rollins before Brock Lesnar came out to beat Rollins to a pulp. Ziggler got off easy on Raw, and that may be the case again tonight on SmackDown Live.
“The Fiend”, Bray Wyatt did not appear on Raw last night, and neither did his opponent at SummerSlam, Finn Balor. It’s possible that The Fiend will attack Balor once again, or at least get inside his head enough to make him lose this match.
Ziggler came out on Raw last night using Shawn Michaels music after getting in an altercation on SmackDown Live last week. The two seem to be headed towards a dream match at SummerSlam. Ziggler has poked fun at HBK already this week, it’ll be interesting to see what WWE has in store for not only Ziggler, but for Balor as well.
New Day vs. Drew McIntyre & Elias
Big E & Xavier Woods take on Drew McIntyre & Elias tonight. This is just more Shane McMahon fodder. Maybe this ends up as a match at SummerSlam?
This Shane McMahon stuff needs to end soon. Him and Kevin Owens will probably show up in this segment as well.
