The Sparks escape with the win. The game went down to the wire. And to the last second, it was unbelievable to see both teams battle till the end. Team leaders for the Los Angeles Sparks Chelsea Gray aka pointgawddddd with 26 points, and 6 assists. Then you have the player of the month for July Nneka Ogwumike with 12 rebounds.
Team leaders for the Chicago Sky are Allie Quigley with 20 points, Astou Ndour with 7 rebounds and Gabby Williams with 6 assists. Final score 84-81. Sparks with the W.
Nneka Ogwumike
If you haven’t noticed my favorite player is Nneka Ogwumike of the Los Angeles Sparks haha. Her resilience, leadership, energy, and hustle to lead her team is outstanding. Never disappoints you whether she scores 2 points or crashes the boards for 12 and don’t be surprised if she averages a couple of steals in a game. Nneka is there for the team regardless.
She hit a double-double in last night’s game with 17 points, and 12 rebounds. Went 8-13 from the field. Always count on Nneka to delivered. She is on the verge as an MVP candidate. She deserves it. What she has done for the team this year is amazing.
Chelsea Gray
What can we say about Gray and her artistry game? The phenomenal point guard for the Sparks. Her no-look passes are pure art and magic. If you blink you might miss her crazy assist to one her teammates. That’s how quick she is with her infamous no-look passes.
Gray finished with 26 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds. In last night’s game, she went 10-20 from the field and 3-5 from the arc. Perfect night at the free-throw line.
Candace Parker
The goat and the legend Parker is being a true leader ever since she came back from injury. Fighting for every loose ball, assists, scoring, rebounds you name it she is doing it all. All for the love of the team. The Sparks are the hottest team in the league right now. It takes teamwork to make it work and that’s exactly what the Sparks are doing.
CP3 finished with 8 points, 5 assists, and 2 rebounds. Finished from the free-throw 4-4. One of the highlights for Parker was this amazing pass for an easy bucket. A true legend and a great basketball IQ. For that reason, the Sparks escape with the win.

This game was so close that the Sparks had their first lead in the 4th quarter. In the 9-minute mark that’s when they really took over the game. It was back and forth with both teams.
Chicago Sky
Stefanie Dolson didn’t have her most impressive performance of the year with 5 personal fouls in the 4th quarter. Dolson finished with 2 points, 2 assists, and 5 rebounds. That’s the game of basketball. She had an off night. Diamond DeShields had a great night with 16 points, 1 assist, and 6 rebounds.
In addition to Quigley’s 20 points. Secondly, I am very impressed with Cheyenne Parker she is a fighter on the court. She will create plays and finished strong with a bucket. Parker with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Gabby Williams helped Chicago as well with 6 points and 6 assists.
Meanwhile, the 25 turnovers Chicago had for the game it affected their chances to win at the end. The careless mistakes were part of them losing the game. The Sparks took advantages of those turnovers. As a team, Chicago did great crashing the boards with 35 total rebounds. At one point they had the biggest lead of the game with a 16 point lead.
In conclusion, the Sparks shot better. The Sparks went 45.7 percent from the field and 35 percent from the three-point line. They took care of the free throws with 86.7 percent from the line.
