Defense of The Queen
There has been a lot of fan heat on Charlotte Flair lately. With her recent interview that has come out about her not really knowing that Kairi was as hurt as she was, fans have seem to become rabid and hateful towards her. Judgment is too harsh on her, to be honest. We common fans have zero idea what it is like to be put into a main-event situation, to perform last in front of thousands of fans. Those four women had the entire weight on the division on their shoulders because one slip up, one botch and the IWC keyboard warriors would be schilling their hateful tweets about how much women suck at wrestling and should never main event ever again.
Charlotte has been one of the more consistent in ring performers in the WWE. Yes she has more losses than wins, but she is there performing, regardless. Lately there has been griping from the IWC claiming she is burying Sarah Logan, but it can be seen differently. Sarah has been off of TV for months, only doing Main Event. Now here she is going toe to toe with arguably one of the best in ring performers, and starting an interesting story for the future. Sarah has become more viscous in ring, which definitely fits more with her Viking roots.
Charlotte has been getting a bad rap because of her last name. While one can argue that at the beginning of her push on the main roster was due to her father’s legacy, she has cemented her own in the years that followed. She loves what she does and it shows. The fact that people want to pile on hate is just absurdly asinine.
Jester’s Judgement
Only four women were in that ring during that incident, and yes there were refs around the ring. No one threw an ‘X’. Yes, Becky did everything in her power to protect Kairi after she realized what had happened and maybe that is because she understood what Kairi was most likely feeling with the potential, and later confirmed concussion.
The fans coming at Charlotte like pack animals is just normal twitter and IWC behavior. But it doesn’t make it right Did she make a mistake? Yes, she might have, but being in game mode, some athletes get more hyper-focused on the task at hand, and that is Charlotte. She wants to constantly put on the best product, not only for her fans but for all fans.
