Hey, Belly Up fans! It’s your girl, Kat AKA @TXSportsQueen! I’ll just jump right to it! For this installment of The Queen’s Take – I Want Psycho Nikki Back!
I became a fan of Nikki Cross during her time in NXT because I love the wild ones! Unpredictable and you never know what they’re capable of. I hoped that we would see that persona from Nikki when she came to the main roster. Especially after her SmackDown debut match against Becky Lynch.
As the time passes and the more that Nikki teams up with Alexa Bliss, I just see another Alexa clone on my screen. Last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown was the last straw for me! Bliss and Cross came out in practically matching outfits including leather pants!
LEATHER PANTS!?
Where is Nikki Cross?
WWE, you’ve stripped the WWE Universe of the Nikki we’ve grown to love!
I hope that this charade leads to a major storyline shift between Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.
If I were writing the story…
I would start the turn at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Have the duo involved in a #1 Contender’s Match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Towards the end of the match, Alexa refuses to tag in or simply walks away from the ring which causes her and Nikki to lose the match.
During the next episode of SmackDown, Cross demands an explanation from her tag team partner. Instead of words, Bliss responds with a vicious attack on Cross. As a result of Alexa’s betrayal, Nikki turns back into the crazy and uncontrollable woman we saw in NXT as part of Sanity. The story ends with one hell of a WrestleMania match!
