The Queen’s Take – Orton’s Sinister Mind

Hey, Belly Up fam! It’s your girl, Kat AKA @TXSportsQueen! We can all agree that as a heel, Randy Orton is one of the sickest SOBs in the industry!  Heels create havoc, but The Viper takes it to a whole other level! For this week’s installment of The Queen’s Take – Orton’s Sinister Mind!

Randy’s attack on Edge only added to his list of devious acts that he’s done during his WWE career. Orton’s feud with Jeff Hardy also led to gruesome moments that made me cringe.

However, when I think back over the most diabolical acts committed by Orton, two stand out on their own!

Burned Alive

I started watching wrestling in the summer of 2005. During that time, Randy Orton was involved in a feud with The Undertaker. Shots went back and forth. Randy even enlisted the help of his father, WWE Hall of Famer “Cowboy” Bob Orton.

The feud led to a Handicap Casket Match at the No Mercy pay-per-view in October 2005 with the Ortons vs The Undertaker. You could only win the match by placing your opponent(s) inside the casket and closing it.

The Ortons ended up winning the match, but things went sideways afterwards. Instead of just walking away, Randy and “Cowboy” Bob rolled the casket to the entrance and began dousing it with gasoline. I was actually at the pay-per-view (my first one to be exact) and I stood there confused! Kept asking myself “What the f*** are they doing?” Randy lit the casket on fire and posed! Orton showed nothing but pride in his handy work!

The Ultimate “Screw You!”

In January 2009, Randy Orton won the Royal Rumble and guaranteed himself a title match at WrestleMania 25. Before he even made a decision, Randy went after Vince and Shane McMahon. He punted both men in the head and didn’t stop there! Randy also hit his RKO finisher on Stephanie McMahon. This triggered the involvement of Triple H, the WWE Champion and Stephanie’s husband. He channeled his anger enough to convince Randy Orton to pick him as his WrestleMania opponent. 

Orton put the final “Screw You” to Triple H during an episode of Monday Night RAW. He got the upper hand on Triple H thanks to help from Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. They handcuffed Triple H to the ring ropes and continued their attack when Stephanie came down to the ring. She begged Randy to stop his attack Triple H when he hit her with a DDT. 

To top it off, Orton leaned down and kissed an unconscious Stephanie in front of her handcuffed husband. Randy’s eyes alone could tell you how sick and twisted he could be!
