Chase Debates; My Thoughts
No matter what Chase Elliott does he always seems to be caught up in some trouble with someone. Just two weeks ago at Darlington with less than 30 laps to go, Kyle Busch tried to slide back in line, but in the process caught the back of Chase Elliott and sent him hard into the inside wall. Before Elliott climbed into the ambulance for the mandatory trip to the infield care center, he waited for Busch to circle around and gave him the middle finger. In a post-race interview, Busch said he “made a mistake and just misjudged the gap”. But as always, social media warriors took to the keyboard to express their frustration with some even saying that Elliott needs to retaliate against Busch.
Ok, so Kyle Busch makes a mistake and wrecks Chase Elliott and admits it was his fault and everyone goes crazy!
But, when Chase Elliott makes a mistake and wrecks Joey Logano and admits fault there are still people mad at Logano.

In Sunday night’s race at Bristol Motor Speedway, Elliott was battling Joey Logano for the lead with only a few laps to go. He got loose in turn four and Logano, unfortunately, ended up just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. As Elliott got loose, he went up the track taking Logano with him against the wall. After they parked on pit road, they had a conversation with each other. Logano seemed to want an apology, but apparently Elliott didn’t say what Logano wanted. Joey Logano, this is part of racing. You shouldn’t expect an apology every time another driver makes contact with you and you don’t get the result you wanted.
Welcome to racing, the greatest sport there is. Welcome to the world where nobody is perfect, mistakes are made, and don’t always expect an apology.
Stay tuned for the race recap of Monday night’s Xfinity Series Cheddar’s 300.
