NFL Week 2 has come and gone, which means we have another round of overreactions.

I did not believe we would even make Week 1, so any week after that is a godsend. The fact that there has been zero positive COVID test in the NFL in the first two weeks is beyond good news.

Still, I remain cautious.

Enough, now on to the NFL Week 2 overreactions!

Kyler Murray

Kyler Murray is the 2020 updated version of Michael Vick. Even Vick has said as much.

If you’re scoffing all that means is you haven’t watched him play. He’s explosive in a way that I have only seen from Vick. The way Murray is able to just, on a whim, decide on 3rd & 12 that he’s going to take off and nonchalantly scamper for, at minimum, the 12 yards needed for the first down is dazzling.

Atlanta Falcons

The NFL began tracking turnovers in 1933. Since that time if an NFL team scored 39 or more points and had zero turnovers they went 440-0.

440-0.

Since 1933.

Enter the Atlanta Falcons! The team that never met an obnoxious lead it couldn’t blow.

The Falcons need a hard reset. Julio Jones dropped a huge pass, Matt Ryan is what he is, a good, not great QB and the defense, sweet mother of God, the defense. No words.

Our own Ryan McCarthy has Dan Quinn in his Circle of Hell: Level 8 which I assume is, like, pretty bad.

Josh Allen

Don’t worry, I’m not here to drag Allen again.

Quite the contrary, I’m doing a 180°.

The Bills defense, missing their top two linebackers leaving them with only two healthy, was not on it’s game allowing the Dolphins to stay in the contest and eventually take the lead with a little over 10 minutes left in the 4th.

If it were not for Josh Allen following up his first-ever 300+ yard passing game with his first-ever 400+ yard passing game, they would have taken the L.

Allen has taken the leap. It’s official.

New York Jets & New York Giants

Stick a fork in them, they’re done.

Have you watched the Jets? Don’t. Your eyeballs will thank you.

The Giants might have still been watchable if it weren’t for their stud running back Saquon Barkley hitting the shelf for the rest of the season with a torn ACL this week against the Bears.

The Jets and Giants will pick #1 & #2 in next years NFL Draft.

Aaron Jones

Lots of praise has gone to Aaron Rodgers, but in NFL Week 2 the other Aaron, Aaron Jones, stole the show.

The first play from scrimmage of the second half saw Jones bust out for 75 yards to the house.

Jones is the MVP for the Packers through two games. Give that man his money.
