The season eight premiere of The Masked Singer aired this week as viewers were introduced to a fresh batch of characters. Four celebrities performed this week, with only one contestant moving on next week.

Harp
Harp showcased powerhouse vocals in her premiere performance. Panelists and viewers were blown away by her talent because she can really sing. Also, she has a presence on stage, similar to a professional singer. The clue package mentioned that she was a triple threat who can sing, act and dance.

Hummingbird
The Hummingbird gave a fun performance with nice vocals. He was comfortable on stage and had a sense of humor. Even though the clues are pointing toward a professional athlete. His clues were about football and championships.

Hedgehog was ready to serenade the crow with an old-school show tune. He had a deep old sounding voice with a slight accent. Based on clues, there were guesses that he could be a legendary singer or actor. The clue package mentioned that he may be from Britain and had a celebrity following.

The Knight
The Knight gave a nice performance this week with nice vocals. He was funny and had a lot of stage presence. There were a lot of actor guesses for the Knight. His clue package was about space and movies.

Season Eight Premiere Reveals
There were two reveals this week that shocked everyone. The first singer eliminated from season eight was the Knight, who was revealed as actor William Shatner. Also, the Hedgehog was revealed as singer Eric Idle.
Based on the premiere, this looks to be one of the best seasons yet. Tune in next week for three more new characters along with the remaining contestant from this group. The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 7/8 c on Fox.
