Musicals night of The Masked Singer season eight aired this week. As three new singers entered the competition, one was revealed at the end.
The contestants performed songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary music catalog. There were some exciting performances, epic clues, and new costumes. Here are some highlights from the episode and who went home.

Robot Girl
Robot Girl gave a fantastic performance this week. She has this big vocal range that can hit unbelievable notes. Also, the panelists enjoyed her energy and thought she could be a young star. The clues referenced that she worked with other artists before her own career started.

The Maize
The Maize has a cool broadway style voice that was showcased in his performance. It was a nice surprise because no one knew what to expect. Also, the panelists thought he was a popular actor who could sing. His clues referenced that he moved to New York to pursue his dream, which he struggled with.
Clues: butter, phone booth, New York, impressions, TV show, and the smash hit.
Most Popular Internet Guess: Mario Cantone
Mermaid
Mermaid gave a soulful performance of a beautiful ballad, and her costume was bright. Her voice is so unique as she sings in a lower register. The panelists felt she was a legendary singer because of her voice and clues. There were mentions of her being in an accident in the clue package.

Musicals Night Reveals
There were two big reveals this week that surprised everyone. The Maize was eliminated and revealed as actor and comedian Mario Cantone. Also, Mermaid was revealed as Grammy award-winning singer Gloria Gaynor.
Another fun episode as all three singers brought their best to the stage. Therefore, stay tuned for more new singers next week. The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays on Fox at 8/7 c.
