Drake Upset Fans For Being Himself During NBA Finals
The Toronto Raptors don’t seem to “talk trash.” They don’t need to worry about that, because they have a super fan who will talk for them. His name is Drake and he has already started to “trash talk” for the Raptors to the Golden State Warriors. In sports, clean “trash talk” sometimes makes the games and rivalries exciting to see.
Drake has upset some NBA fans for being himself. Some players from Golden State say they donāt mind his talking or attempt to intimidate them. Draymond Green in a sense backed up Drake’s “trash talk.”
Drake has often overshadowed the NBA Playoffs. Also, not only is he a super fan, he is an ambassador for the Raptors. He is a fan of the NBA. It has also been mentioned that he reminds NBA fans of the New York Knicks super fan Spike Lee. Drake and Lee share differences and similarities with each other of being super fan.
Drake and Spike Lee Similarities
Both Drake and Spike Lee argue with the opponents of their favorite teams. Sometimes they are both theatrical when they argue. Before the NBA Finals, Drake was in the news for giving Raptors head coach, Nick Nurse, a massage on the shoulders during a game. Despite him not doing anything wrong, Milwaukee didn’t like this. He was just enjoying the game.
Now if it was the coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, then there would be a problem. He is always arguing or saying something to the players on the court, while sitting court-side. He has similarities to Spike Lee, in the fact they caused problems with opposing players. Lee is famous for being a director.
However, one of the iconic moments is when he and Reggie Miller got into it. They were exchanging words back and forth then Miller put his hands around his neck to make a choking a symbol. Here is how a tweet from ESPN’s documentary explains it. They don’t repeat the words since they aren’t clean.
Differences of Drake and Spike
One main difference between the two is traveling. Drake doesn’t seem to travel to many of the road games for the Raptors. But Spike Lee on the other has traveled to the majority of the road games for the Knicks. Ironically, outside of the NBA Finals, games, and practices Drake and all various players from the NBA all hang out with each other.
This includes players from the Warriors as well. Additionally, if Lee didn’t hang out with Knicks opponents or NBA players in his era then that would be another difference. I am saying this because I researched it and couldn’t find if he did or didn’t. One more difference is that Drake is a musician and Lee is a movie director. Drake was an actor for the television show Degrassi.
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, Drake and Lee have many similarities such as being a super fan of their favorite team. They also have differences, in how they conduct themselves during games, playoff games, and NBA Finals games. Everyone should stop worrying about him as he isn’t the one playing the games. Let Drake be himself.
