With the news of the Denver Broncos trading for Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, which can’t happen until the new league year starts on March 13th, the Broncos are expected to try and trade 2018 starter, Case Keenum.

If the Broncos are unable to trade Keenum, they will most likely cut ties with the veteran quarterback. Here is a list of potential landing spots via trade or free agency.

Potential Landing Spots:

Miami Dolphins
Arizona Cardinals
Jacksonville Jaguars
Cincinnati Bengals
Minnesota Vikings
New York Giants
Washington Redskins

Verdict:

The Washington Redskins will land Case Keenum, giving them a starting quarterback while Alex Smith recovers from injury.

Making The Case:

I predict the Redskins will sign Keenum to a short term contract as the back up to Alex Smith. With Smith expected to miss the entire 2019 season, they will prepare for Keenum to be the starting quarterback for the 2019 season. Filling their current hole at quarterback will give the Redskins the option to select a receiver or defensive back with their 15th overall draft pick.

Keenum saw his best statistical season of his career with the Vikings in 2017, passing for 3,547 yards, 22 touchdowns, and just 7 interceptions in 15 games. Keenum had a disappointing 2018 season with the Broncos, but could have a bounce back season in 2019.

Case Closed:

Well not really, because as of now Keenum still remains on the Broncos’ roster and this is simply my prediction of where I believe Case Keenum will be playing in 2019.
