Jesus Christ. Just when you think the Flyers will play a full game and win 5-3, they blow the lead with two minutes to go in the game. Oh, did I mention both goals came with Calgary’s goalie pulled? They the Flyers respond by losing in overtime. An overtime in which their head coach, for some reason, thought that putting Giroux out was a good decision.
It’s honestly mind boggling how the Flyers are still this terrible. Why won’t someone do something? Blow the team up for all I care; it’s better than watching the product being put on the ice. The team finally gets some good goaltending from Stolie, and they go out and blow the game like a bunch of bums.
Being home from school means I have the opportunity to spend money and go to some games but at this rate, I’d rather spend my money on literally anything else on the planet. The team is full of skilled and talented players who for some reason they decide to not show up day-in and day-out.
Time For Change
I hope someone in management decides to do something, like maybe fire a certain somebody who has yet to win a meaningful game in four years. It really sucks because I’m stuck between cheering for them, and hoping that they lose so something will change. I know winning games only prolongs the inevitable. Chuckie Fletcher is going to fire Hak at the end of the year regardless of what happens this year so why not just do it now?
One other thing, I’m pretty sure the Flyers had at least eight penalties in the third period alone. Their penalty killing is terrible, like god awful, dead-last terrible. How can you expect to win games by doing that? It just makes me shake my head. I’ll see everyone on Friday, when I’m going to most likely be left feeling the same way after the game. I wouldn’t be surprised if Connor McDavid scored 7 goals against this sorry defense.
