The Minnesota Lynx upset the Chicago Sky on Tuesday night 93-85. With the win, the Lynx clinched a playoff berth. Minnesota has won three games in a row and is starting to play outstanding basketball just in time for the playoffs. Lynx has won three straight games to improve their record (16-15) and a tie for the seventh spot. Cheyenne Parker had another strong game for the Sky scoring 22 points and eight rebounds. Diamond DeShields added 17 points in the loss.
Sylvia Fowles
Sylvia Fowles scored a season-high 25 points, and 10 of them came in the fourth quarter. Fowles also added 12 rebounds, which gave her 13th double-double of the season. Fowles looked like her aggressive self, she is a dominating player and can be unstoppable when she is in the right mindset. If Fowles can keep this up, the Lynx can turn some heads in the playoffs.
Odyssey Sims
Odyssey Sims has been playing well for the Lynx as of late also. Against the Sky, Sims scored 23 points on 9-15 shooting. Sims also dished at out eight assists to lead the team. It was Sims fourth game this season with 20 points and eight assists. The Lynx need this Sims to show up every night to be successful in the playoffs.
Napheesa Collier
Napheesa Collier is having an outstanding rookie season, she added to it in the game against the Sky. Collier had 19 points, seven rebounds, four-assist, two steals, and two block shots. She played an excellent all-around game. Collier has been a terrific all-around player all season for the Lynx. She does everything well.
Damiris Dantas
Damiris Dantas scored 17 points on 7 of 11 shooting from the field. Also, Dantas made three three-point shots, to go along with 10 rebounds. It was Dantas fourth career double-double. The Lynx will need more efforts like this for Dantas in the playoffs.
