Hello all it’s your pal KC Carlyle here again. Today we will be talking about the WWE return of John Morrison from IMPACT!

As usual I would like to talk about John Morrison’s accomplishments before WWE. While studying both film and geology at the University of California, Davis he decided neither of those were something he wanted to pursue. So he then went on to train at Supreme Pro Wrestling in Sacramento, California. After failing his audition for Tough Enough 2, he would go on to land a spot on Tough Enough 3; which Morrison would wind up winning. After winning Tough Enough 3 he was given a developmental contract where he was sent to WWE’s developmental territory OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling). He was called up to the main roster in 2005 and given the ring name Johnny Nitro.

Now as I like to say “on to the meat and potatoes” of this article. I would like to start by saying that whether you know him as John Hennigan, John Morrison, Johnny Blackcraft, Johnny Blaze, Johnny IMPACT!, Johnny Mundo, Johnny Nitro, Johnny Onyx, Johnny Spade, Johnny Superstar, Johnny Ultra, The Prince of Parkour, or The Shaman of Sexy the man has outstanding talent. John Morrison is the kind of guy who just oozes charisma. Anyone who has seen his work in any number of promotions like WWE, IMPACT! wrestling, AAA Lucha Libre, Lucha Underground and a huge host of others, will know what I am talking about.

The wrestling business has always been filled with people making their bodies do things that rival superheroes, and John Morrison is no different. With his parkour background he has one of the most innovative offensive styles the world of wrestling has ever seen. When you watch a John Morrison match you can see streaks of some of the greatest high flyers of all time. Personally I see the innovative stylings of Rob Van Dam, the go for it mentality of Sabu, and the dedication of a guy like Rey Mysterio.

With John Morrison recently returning to WWE after an eight year absence working for other various promotions like IMPACT! wrestling and Lucha Underground, we have not had a chance to see much of him as of yet. What we have seen so far has been sewing the seeds for the return of one of my favorite tag-teams of the mid 2000’s “Miz and Morrison.” With the amount of chemistry and charisma both men have the team is bound to go on to another great run together.

When Morrison first returned to TV it was after Bray Wyatt began playing mindgames with The Miz and brought his family into the mix (which we all know you don’t mess with a man’s family especially his children). Now with The Miz being so distraught WWE attempted to get an interview with The Miz, after knocking on the door who should answer but “The Shaman of Sexy” John Morrison. he told the interviewer “The Miz was in no state to be interviewed”.

Fast forward two weeks and his first real appearance came on The Miz’s talk show segment Miz TV. John Morrison was seen shaking hands with fans on his way to the ring giving us the impression that he was a bit of a babyface, as soon as John Morrison entered the ring however he began berate the WWE Universe for booing his friend The Miz thus completely cementing himself as a heel. Later on that night John Morrison helped his good friend The Miz in his match against Kofi Kingston by interfering on The Miz’s behalf thus helping The Miz win the match.

The following week on SmackDown John Morrison made his in-ring return against Big-E accompanied to the ring by The Miz. The match was won by John Morrison with a little outside help from The Miz. With the Royal Rumble coming up this sunday we are sure to be in for quite a treat when it comes to John Morrison, whether it be entering into the Royal Rumble match or advancing along into a tag-team with The Miz, the “Prince of Parkour” John Morrison is sure to entertain and will not disappoint.
