Well as always with WWE you can always expect surprises. Former New England Patriots tight end and three time super bowl winner Rob Gronkowski better known as “Gronk” has apparently signed with the WWE. He is good friends with WWE Superstar Mojo Rawley and even made a few appearances on WWE TV. This comes as no surprise though as he’s been a wrestling fan for a long time himself. He has a current superstar as one of his best friends, and he’s currently being advertised for next week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. It will be interesting to see if this is only a part time gig for the former NFL Star, or if it’s his new permanent gig and if WWE is now his new home. Who will we see him feud with first?
I would personally love to see him feud with Jinder Mahal. As his friend Mojo Rawley had issues in the past with Jinder. We even saw Gronkowski flatten Jinder inside the squared circle once before already.
What Does “Gronk” signing with WWE Mean?
The signing of Rob Gronkowski just proves that WWE is still the hottest brand in the wrestling industry. They had many from other sports sign with them or make appearances on WWE programming. Some notable names that come to mind are Ronda Rousey, Floyd Mayweather, Tyson Fury and even Cain Velazquez to name just a few off the top of my head. “Gronk” as he’s known will definitely make a big impact in the company whether, it’s part time or full time. I cannot wait to see what this man can do inside that ring when given the opportunity. Are you excited to see Gronkowski in WWE?
I personally never liked him in the NFL with the Patriots but seeing him become a WWE Superstar is cool. Let us know what you think.
