Like an RKO out of nowhere, Marvel released what I think will be their final trailer for the culmination of 10+ years of movies and storylines this morning for Avengers:Endgame. Most thought this would come out in about 1-2 weeks, but Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel, decided pie day was the appropriate date to release what may be the most anticipated trailer for what I believe to be the most anticipated movie of all time. And what a trailer it was.

The last trailer we saw for Endgame was during the Super Bowl. Last week Captain Marvel came out, which was a lovely movie that you really should see before Endgame on April 26, so naturally this trailer had Carol Danvers standing toe-to-toe with Thor not being impressed by his hammer at all.

The trailer does a good job of recapping what happened in Infinity War where Thanos laid waste to half of the universe and pretty much half of all the super heroes leaving only the original Avengers and a few others left to save existence. Thanos wasn’t anywhere to be seen, but the trailer sure did highlight Iron Man and Captain America a whole bunch. The prevailing rumor is that one of them will die in Endgame, but who the hell knows. The poster for the movie, which is the picture for this blog really highlights Iron Man and Captain America, but the idea of one of them dying might be a big swerve.

The best moment in the trailer was this…

Here we have Black Widow, Nebula, Iron Man, Captain America, War Machine, Ant Man and Ronin wearing what look like new space suits or perhaps time traveling/reality jumping suits getting ready to travel somewhere presumably to go to Thanos. There aren’t any scenes of Bruce Banner being the Hulk, but I think it’s safe to say we’ll see him getting over his issues.

April 26th can’t come soon enough. The amount of time I’ve wasted used very wisely watching the other Marvel movies, to searching the internet looking for the best theories is staggering. I know the payoff will be well worth it and Avengers: Endgame will be one of my favorite movies. A bold stance I know, but I have no reason to think that it will be a letdown.

BTW- Now I’m thinking that maybe there is some correlation with this trailer coming out on pie day. Like maybe 3.14 is some sort of coordinate that was used in a past film or mentioned somewhere in some old comic. Can’t be a straight up coincidence right. Maybe a talking pie saves the day I don’t know.
